LA12 is quite a bit worse today!

2013_LA12_May27Terrific seismic activity. It is not just “micro-quakes” as Texas Brine claims. And they have another deceptive “explanation” about “bulking” in the cavern in this article:

The AdvocateRock to sinkhole ratio a mystery

David J. Mitchell – “One of the lingering questions surrounding the Assumption Parish sinkhole — raised last fall when fears of more sinkholes emerged — remains an issue of too much rock.”

“. . . . As the sinkhole has grown over the last nine months and as the 2,258-foot-tall cavern continued to fill with rock and sediment— at a rate of three feet per day.”

  1. Looks like Georges buying the Advocate and taking key people from the Picayune is turning out to be the best thing to happen to the Times Picayune in years!!! I am liking this guy, Robert Mann!

      • Yes, they are! Now, if the Picayune starts doing some real investigative reporting on the truly important issues we face…what a difference they could make! I’ll be watching and hoping.

  2. I got the best giggle out of the ‘Snakes in the State Capital’ article! How fitting that they were all congregating in the Alario offices 😉 Rats attract snakes…just saying. Supposed to be mostly on the House side but, I’ll bet they’ll find a few more in Adley’s office!
