BREAKING: An EXPLOSION in Washington Parish, Louisiana

WWL – Gas plant explosion in Washington Parish

Jay Vise Reporting

An explosion rocked Washington Parish this morning when fire erupted at a Florida Gas facility south of Franklinton.

The glow was visible across the Northshore and as far away as Metairie and Chalmette.
Louisiana Fire Marshal Butch Browning says no one was injured and the scene is “under control.”  He says the gas pipe line was quickly turned off.  The cause of the blast is under investigation. . . .

  1. You know the ‘knock on the door’ that spouses of serving law enforcement officers dread…

Well, I’m pretty certain that the spouses of workers in the ‘fossil fuel’ and chemical industries must be starting to have the same dread right about now…

This is the third incident in a week, that’s one hell of a coincidence.

“Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action”
    ― Ian Fleming

      • I think the words ‘screw up’ describes everything quite succinctly Tony. Whether the incidents were deliberate, or accidental, there’ll be a ‘screw up’ in there somewhere, whether human or not.

      • I wonder if it is from the constant low level seismos coming from Lake FUBAR …. degrading pipe connections all around.

      • FCF… I’ve been thinking pretty much the same thing, though while I agree it may be seismically induced vibration that has a hand in these events, I’m not inclined to believe that their source is just Lake Fubar, my thought is that the source is more wide spread and deeper…

Basically, I believe that the Gulf coast and the states adjoining the Mississippi valley are seismically ‘waking’ up.

Events like this are going to happen with increasing frequency, the whole area is becoming a ticking geological time-bomb.

  2. That Video you have on your web site show it all No trees or vegetation left just baked ground.

    • That’s in June 14 post next to the map. It IS very near.
I hope nothing happened last night … I went to sleep.

      • “I hope nothing happened last night”…

        You mean apart from…

The four horsemen of the apocalypse.
        The end of the world.
TB ACTUALLY telling the truth ( actually I’m joking about that one ).
Elvis returning to life and doing a come back tour.

You mean apart from them… NO… Nothing happened at all, it’s been quiet 😉

      • LOL! I see why that got sidetracked to spammster play plen!
        4 horsemen + 5th – Lake FUBAR!

  4. Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up.

The text in your content seem to be running off the screen in Ie.
I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let you know.

The style and design look great though! Hope you get the problem fixed soon.
