UPDATE – That Sept. 2 quake in the south west part of the Gulf wasn’t so small after all. They changed the magnitude on it to 4.4.
TODAY, on land, in the coast states in the south part of the Gulf of Mexico, there are 4 large earthquakes.
- 4.7 quake in Ometepec, Guerrero, Mexico
- 4.2 quake in Suchiate, Chiapas, Mexico
- 4.2 quake in Ciudad Tecun Uman, San Marcos, Guatemala
- 4.9 quake in Acajutla, Sonsonate, El Salvador
We missed this Aug. 2 event: Magnitude 3.0 Earthquake hits Gulf of Mexico New Orleans Region
at 30.873N, 90.874W . . . it was probably from drilling or Lake FUBAR. It was the same day as the 2 big Texas quakes near the Louisiana border.
