Carlsbad salt dome nuke disaster — IKK!! Scientists will also eventually begin testing the salt mined in the north mine for radiation contamination. WIPP currently sells the salt to local private industry, including for use as salt feed at local dairies. Franco [of DOE] said he thinks the DOE should be able to continue selling the mined salt.”

  1. Gill has a lot of gall, he found another way of saying, on the advice of my attorney, I refuse to answer questions on the grounds it may incriminate me. That was not pc, now saying I dunno apparently is. Was surprised on another report of the town meeting, it was reported only ~two dozen folks attended, the video pretty much confirmed that. This report says over 200, holy cripe, everyone has their own agendas. Think is was our good buddy Walter, who previously reported the road salt sprayed to make us safer, is loaded with all kinds of crap that does not.

  2. Just one more cheery note on how well we can trust the data from EPA and DOE (OUR government)..the fallout was highly was kept CONFIDENTIAL!! Frankly, I like the idea of getting rid of all management of EPA and DOE..especially the government in charge appointees.the ones in the PLUM BOOK! Did you know about that..its a list..Got to change the party in power to change the political appointees. They have to submit resignation unless they get into a permanent GS position. I do know the politics..was an appointee under President Reagan..

    • oh, yeah , I saw that on ENE.
      Got that document…

These nuke monsters are so powerful I think both political parties are compromised A-Z.

They need to barfed out of political influence, racketeering, universities, endowments, waste-into-industry schemes, waste into food schemes and all other evil plans and deeds.
Stomped out, rejected and prosecuted. Nuke plant operators need 1 and all to be hunted and strung up Mussolini fashion.
They wrecked our beautiful Earth…. and are killing us all.

      • Mary Landrieu is one of the most compromised of all. Bunches of funding from Shaw, CBI, and Entergy. We just got a sad letter from a Korean War vet. He is very sick and it seems that the VA wants HIM to provide proof of his radiation exposure! Shouldn’t they have proof? Cancers inside and out, poor poor man. He’s been trying to get help since at least 2009, it seems. They knew better then too about rad! A brilliant man who I think was Walter’s ancestor Waldo (unless I messed the last name spelling) who was an Oak Ridge Biochemist said they didn’t need to do tests they knew from the chemicals what it would do. Waldo was born ca 1900. They also had plenty of xray research. They must just be mean like small boys who tear the legs off of bugs, because they CAN. The poor veteran, I cried for hours until I got some caffeine.

    • Totally agree all the dirty buggers in office need to go, and how about term limits, seems a lot of them become millionaires while in office. Tried reading the Nov 2011 report, but most is way over my head. Can you point me to place that says “..the fallout was highly radioactive” in the US? If it was, guess they really could not tell 300 million people to evacuate, to where?

      • Funny scene in movie Day After Tomorrow when North Americans swarm around the Rio Grande tring to cross …

      • From what I understand from that report, which I admit is very little, South America is in huge doodoo, the Rio is not an option….

      • my take away is there is no big agency of any sort checking for compliance with nuke waste regulations in Argentina.
And that goes for all of these other poor countries fooling with highly radioactive materials to manufacture things.
The (rich) USA doesn’t know what to do with the waste but manages to have a few rules about it.
I think everyone else lets it go in a nearby stream.

  3. Can’t figure out why towns in LA are sinking? I guess politicians don’t read blogs these days. My guess is they have a bunch of meetings and decide nothing.

Nice to see they had a plan to get all of that old nasty plutonium out of the salt mines Carlsbad. Just send a robot down to check it out and then spray cement all over the sides of salt. It sounds all so easy, good thing they had this plan long ago. I beginning to think a polar shift it not that bad of an idea.

  4. Did some research on Yucca Mountain, we have spent $15 billion on making it a nuclear waste site, you may of not seen it on your utility bill, but it was part of your utility bill. Near as I can tell, it was Obama & Reid who cancelled the whole deal. Do not know much about science, but that place seems a whole lot better than a salt dome or who knows how many temporary storage sites everywhere…. A lot of anti nuke folks think it is all about power plants, do not know what the ratio is, but there is a ton of bomb stuff we need to deal with. HANFORD!!

    • I thought Yucca was better than NM.
But still… they gotta stop the production of this stuff they don’t know what to do with.
And quit putting it into golf clubs and bullets (DU)..

    • Yes. The Casinos probably think it’s bad for business and they have plenty of money. Have you seen the Nevada web site and how organized they are against the dump? The main problem at Yucca seemed to be if they seal the dump but they shouldn’t be sealing it! Also earthquakes but everywhere has earthquakes!

  6. Thanks. What’s perplexing is that those were secret flyovers of the USSR and so forth based out of Japan. So, he’s the “Agency” as he put it, under Dulles. He didn’t write it on our site but found it on another site . Also elsewhere found additional descriptions of his woes. Shouldn’t those guys have access to their own stuff! The flyovers were a legit activity. Hope he didn’t do anything bad afterwards since he is now our “friend”. You wouldn’t expect them to betray their own would you? Will go look at the site. Were all of those thousands exposed in the Agency since they were secret, I wonder? This is deeper and scarier than the sinkhole.

  7. Thanks again. Once you know to look under Atomic Veterans a whole world opens up. A 1998 law says that those Atomic Veterans should be given a payment regardless of cancer type. They seem to have back-pedaled on that now and will not accept prostate or heart problems or skin cancer. I think this is the trouble. In short he must be victim to the Iraq War II. They don’t want to have to give money to all of those Vets exposed to depleted uranium when they get cancer. I don’t see how they can reverse the law for those who were already Vets in 1998. Maybe they didn’t keep long-term records because I read a creepy military report where their only concern was if the military could operate in the event of nuclear war. So, after they left the battlefield they wouldn’t care. And the psychological tests were really how it impacted their minds and central nervous system. The guy is actually lucky to be alive.

    • I got that info from listening to Kevin Blanch whose dad was a victim as is he. Children and grandchildren of these vets get the cancer too as it screws with chromosomes etc.

      • Thanks. Good point. I was wondering if at his age it was worth trying to get his $75,000 when only his kids may benefit. But, they may need it if they get sick.
