  1. 1.7 Earthquake near Packwood WA (south of Mr. Rainier), major landslide north near OSO WA (tremor mentioned as occuring before slide), and the 5.1 earthquake and after shocks in lower california. Shaken a lot this week in western USA. Ongoing fracking EQ in OK of course…

  2. Califfornia and Japan/Far East, Atlantic earthquakes like ping pong balls. First Japan had a EQ, then CA, then back to Far East island nations, like Fiji..then South America, then the Atlantic ridge. Relationships? Pressure? Its a curious situation. Wonder if anyone is looking at this kind of event/pressure situation to project future earthquakes?

      • JEC, it looks to a layman like myself that the earthquakes are scattered and destablizing the earth now. It appears that all this ground offsetting will eventually hone in on one central location causing a large earthquake. On the flip side of the coin, this could also be a stress reliefe that avoids a larger earthquake also known as “the big one.”

      • many, many aftershocks….
And there was a 3M quake offshore just before this so I think (opinion) this is just a pre-shock mini-quake to a series of very large quakes from Oregon to Baja. Many huge quakes from Argentina to Chile in recent months that are ignored in the news even though they are along the same fault type.
