The seaweed is massive, I think the North Atlantic is dying. Whales and large animals washing up in NY.
The East Caribbean has had the influx of seaweed non-stop for over five years when in the past it would appear for just a few weeks and stop.
Florida stinks because the additional algae suffocates the fish which get mixed into the mess. I think the algae deal is from washed out fertilizers and pollution.
…. but the seaweed does stink to high heaven if it washes ashore and isn’t carted away. Rotten masses of it smell like a hog farm.
It does make a really good fertilizer for a garden. I don’t know why the state doesn’t bale it up like hay and truck it to farms.
