    • That was a find that they have left the Bonnet Carre open! So, all of that Lake Ponchartrain flow backflowed to the river? I guess it had some room to spread out though. They didn’t update their web site at all. I think the NWS New Orleans tweets are one of the only sources – at least public sources that keep up to date. Are there any conspiracy theories on this thing? I think it’s weird that it went from Tennessee south. On the radar it looks like a hurricane but some of the satellite made it look like it was going backwards yesterday. I guess it was wind sheer but it didn’t seem to be located where they said.

      • I have no idea what’s going on. Google is obviously banning all searches for any new info on Louisiana nuclear plants even when you re-phrase and call them electrical plants. They return searches from 8 year old items etc.

  2. also from The Advocate –
What happened to eye-popping Barry rainfall projections?
” . . . by the end of Saturday, many of those locations saw no more than an inch or two of rain.
    What caused that to happen?
Forecasters and meteorologists point to that same dry air that kept Barry a disorganized tropical system as the prime reason.
The dry air made its way far enough south into Louisiana and zapped Barry’s torrential rains.”

Was the storm steered to manipulate oil prices or something??
