See Weekend News for info on some earthquakes today in the SE United States. It may or may not be related.

– Thanks to tip from commenter Concerned Citizen

Commenter Walter Coin points out the lower blue line is a harmonic tremor.

That’s not good.

  1. Someone please respond to this question. How is the wildlife, domestic animals and bird reacting to the tremors ? Are the hunters in the area seeing less animals?

    • I haven’t seen any mention of bird or animal life at Bayou Corne.
BUT – many people who go fishing have been spotting the bubbling and commenting on it. Hunters and fishing enthusiasts there may have more discussion on the topic at this sportsman’s website.

    • on the sidebar on the MAP page there are scary maps of all the wells and caverns. By Chevron, Dow etc. and they are huge!

Thanks for the link. And those huge pipeline terminals in Napoleonville are open as usual. (scroll down a few posts) Everything shut down for caution during Issac hurricane were opened right back up . . . next to the sinkhole!
And LA handing out drilling permits nearby too!

    • I was wrong in other comment answer today… Chevron has removed some product from their near cavern(s). But a lot haven’t. And the mega-load of butane was moved a little further away. Not out of state etc.
      A MAP with the caverns (p.2) –
