The Assumption Parish blog says there is seismic activity at the sinkhole but there’s no live data available that we can find.
The parish website’s situation summary on the sinkhole says it is being monitored by the USGS in several places. On Sept. 10 they put out this bit of info:
– from http://www.edsuite.com/proposals/proposals_280/assumption_update_september_10-2012_fi_451.pdf (PDF)
Here’s the USGS Louisiana page – showing no activity (untrue). And there is nothing on this other US seismic monitoring page – NetQuakes. It would be great if the USGS people at the sinkhole site could upload their data to NetQuakes.
To do-it-yourself you can try some of this software for monitoring quakes –

I have been using this site to monitor the activity.

THanks. I am waiting for answer to inquiry from USGS.
You’re welcome! Monitors 3 and 9 have been the most active but all monitors indicate activity.
Added that info to the sidebar … with the seismic monitoring category
La03 is off the chart today.
