Concerned Citizen sent this correction to Texas Brine’s spokeman Sonny Cranch flat statement – “We can state that during the 25-plus years of the life of this cavern, there was never any indication of a loss of integrity of the cavern,”
They had failed an MIT test on the cavern in 2011 and they all knew it.

This, in addition to the good article by Freedomrox about it. LOUISIANA DNR COMPLICIT IN SINKHOLE COVERUP AND MISINFORMATION!
Texas Brine seems to be positioning to fight this whole deal in court to minimally at least buy lots of time. Hell it is working for BP in the Gulf. Evil men control the world.
they sure do!
The liars will call it a “natural disaster” if/when the whole place becomes compromised beyond belief , (total lake pignoir type finality)
No more evidence=no more questions …just more statements from the corporate experts.
The last thing gov. jindal wants to do is spend money the state doesnt have to prosecute this, because he and the alphabet agencys will be found guilty of negligence and derilection of duty as public officials, that are put in place to keep crap like this from happening.
How much hush money does it take to buy off a governor?
How many cases of salad oil could he buy?
Fracking and whatnot is supposed to be the financial salvation of our economy…energy independence….
Money is the root of all evil, when greed and gluttony blinds you.
But, what can anyone do about it when oil greases the wheels of capitalism?
There will be cheap energy soon..with no one to buy it since dead men don’t drive cars or pay utility bills.
RESISTANCE IS FUTIILE – YOU WILL ASSIMILATE.
The United States of the Borg.
borg is right!
I read the letter or document to DNR from Texas Brine stating the cavern failed the integrity test in 2011. The cavern was compromised and they could not continue. That is why I throw out that they knew about the comprised cavern since 2011 in some of my “replies.” They knew what had happened all along. I don’t save pdf files. I read the letter or document a couple months ago. Freedomrox said that he has read through all the documents. Maybe he still has a copy.
yeah, it was sent to me today and the link is in the recent post here . . . a damning document!
“at this time a breach out of the cavern appears possible. If the cavern is in hydraulic communication with the formations outside the salt dome, such communication could have occurred during mining or brine injection for the MIT…”
…”although there were no obvious signs of loss of integrity during the life of the cavern, these possibilities are under review…”
From Jan 2011
they use the same phrases today “no changes to the sinkhole” etc. when it expands by the acre . . .
LOUISIANA DNR COMPLICIT IN SINKHOLE COVERUP!
Docs at bottom of page
Does anyone read my work? lol. I wrote that a while back.
oopsie! I will add it to that post! So Sorry!! geezeee
Oh don’t owrry about it. I am not in a pissing contest. It was a tongue in cheek comment.
I remember reading this article. I don’t see the pdf in this article. One pdf downloads with a big Red X. The pdf I’m talking about was a document to DNR form Texas Brine stating they could not expand operations because testing determined the cavern’s integrity had been compromised. This statement was a couple sentences at the top of the page. I’m pretty sure I read the pdf around 1.5 months ago.
is it this?

The tiny url is at the bottom of page Keith. The screen captures are from the pdf. I see them fine here, so don’t know. sorry.
yessir that is the tiny url, but also more docs in the story and I used the snapshots for those and I think the url’s. Not a big deal
I’ll tell you where else TB is lying. They are saying they never did actually put that NORM in the cavern….only asked if they could. I rememberseeing a document saying that not only had they put the NORM in, but took it back out and put it in the well. I didn’t understand what that meant and asked someone else, and he rememebers the conversation. I can not find that document for anything. It was in the very beginning of all this.
I had heard that Rainbow, but can’t confirm it either. I also take note that we are still not getting updates on the BC Inspection Reports either.
Thanks Freedomrox, I’ll check them out tonight.
Thanks for your help everyone with locating that pdf of the letter to DNR from Texas Brine concerning the cavern integrity failure. I searched google and came up with the same Advocate article as Jo Celle.
Texas Brine officials also met with DNR officials on Jan. 21, 2011,concerning their work on the saltcavern that may have failed, DNR records show.
Texas Brine company letters to DNR on salt –
This search phrase above exists in google search and will not return with any results, similar to my experience with “tinyurl.” I wonder if censorship is effecting my abilities to obtain pertinent information?
yeah …
had found that document about cubic feet of radioactive mud stored there …

Flyingcuttlefish—Yes, this is the URL. The Advocate URL appears in browser for a second and then disappears without leaving this page.
I remember reading about 20 cubic ft of NORM in the sinkhole and a little trouble figuring out their representation of units.
I’ll see if I can find the integrity failure document latter tonight when I have more time. I’ve bookmarked some of your past articles.
I’m confused. That IS the integrity failure documents you posted the tinyurl too…
I am totally mixed up now … thought I had the same one …
You do. I’ve never seen anything but the pdf file we both posted.
ok …. I think the PDF is pretty telling all by itself!
Works for me….click (read letter).

Jo, I was looking for the actual letter that Texas Brine wrote to DNR. I’ve seen the pdf before but didn’t save the file. Thanks for providing the Advocate article. That puts a close date on the beginning of Texas Brine’s foot dragging.
